Superjet Ran Away

Fired up the ski in my garage and it instantly revved to like 8000rpms and it wouldn't shut-off after hitting stop, pulling the tether, and removing the plug wires. I blipped the throttle at the carbs and it eventually died.
Whats goin on?

no fuel in the lines... ran lean and dieseled

if that happens, hold the stop button and pull the throttle all the way open.

You could have an airleak in your intake tract somewhere - but more likely, you had air in the lines.. That can happen.

For future occurences: Simply pull the throttle wide open, it will die.

when that happens pull off the spark plug boots and open the trottle if it has no spark it stops

Yep, don't waste time pulling the plug wires, it won't do a damn thing. I almost poop my pants when it happened to me the first time - the plugs become red hot and diesel the motor, so opening the throttle dumps air in and will cool it down. Also plunging the primer will help. It is called a "free-rev"

If that happens, Grab the throttle wide open and give it fuel, as soon as it gets fuel, it will run on the rev limiter, then push the stop button as fast as you can.
