sorry to use your idea but i dont got a welder. i do have (access) to a lathe, carbide, and ss300series. :arms:

Nice. I would have made the flanges possibly a little bigger and half-moon shape for getting closer to the gunwhales.

all i had setup on the lathe was a collet chucker, didnt have the time(or the effort) to put a 3jaw in it so i went with the biggest diameter i could fit. they are acually bigger than a inch across and yamaslut reccomends a 1" washer so should be good.
surf stance, wont be close the whaleguns.

lay some cloth over the washers...i pulled mine out...mabye i didnt prep the surface good enough..i just have some #10 course threads in there now...if im not already waterlogged i will be soon:haha:

i have mine pretty close..i can still use my calf to brace agianst the gunwhales...i think that makes a big difference...
