Has anyone ever had this happen? The pump will not go all the way on. It feels like its bottoming out, meaning the driveshaft and impeller has seated all the way, but the pump is not where is supposed to be. The couplers also feel like they are seated correctly. IMPRO's installed the impeller, so I really dont think that is done wrong.. Any ideas?

Could the driveshaft coupler & dampner came out of the coupler on the back of the motor?? Only thing I can think of...

Next question, has the motor been out and re-installed since the pump was gone? I'm still suspicious of a 750 impeller. And if you have the Blaster pipe in there, we need a picture and review.

Definetly a x2 driveshaft, its the stock original. The 750 motor is still 2 weeks out, so the original 650 is there, has never been taken out to my knowledge.

I am very suspicious that the prop is a 750, pics of rear of pump attached.

And blaster pipe will be going in with the 750 motor. I dont think its possible to fit it in with the gas tank already installed.

Need a picture of the back on the prop itself, or a picture that shows the position of the prop next to the edge of the wear ring. I'm betting on a 750 prop in a 650 pump. Are you off about a half a bolt hole now?

I think so, I seem to recall the 750 props had the oring inside, but not on the 650's. Thats going to suck if they forgot to trim it down, as you said they installed it. Also, if its the 9/17 that was the recomended pitch for a 750sx stock replacement.

The 9/17 is on the left, the STOCK X2 95 impeller is on the right.

SXR/750 left, stock 650 replacement right. Yours looks 750.

If you look inside the prop, you will see where the shaft bottoms out. Slide the prop on the shaft by itself then take a pencil or something from the rear and compare the length from the end of the driveshaft to the pump mounting flange. I will bet yours it 1/4 inch longer on the 9/17. I need to send my SXR prop out and have the 1/4" machined off so I can try it.

The grease line is where the stocker went too, I didnt have a tape handy but that looks very close to 1/4"

Does this confirm, its a 750 prop?

No, not apples to apples. Measure at the rear center after its slid on all the way.
