The Good Old Days
It took 4 hours but I downloaded it.
I was able to watch it on the computer using DivX player.

Talk about day-glo but those guys had great balance and control.

Love it and thanks for posting it.

hrmm that's weird. I just tried it at school and its still doing the same thing... i tried right click + save as, and just opening it, and clicking on the file.. it brings up the window, and its instantly finished. says 749kb.... weird that it's done it on two diff computers.

I've tried the method I mentioned on two diff computers/interent connections also and they both make it past the 749 mark no problem, not sure what to tell you...

How long does it run for...? after a 4hour 59 min download it plays up to the part when the three of them are on the one ski.

Does it end there or did my download drop out.

I think i know what your going to tell me......LOL.

I know the version I made is full length, and that's not what you're describing. I d'loaded the version mark hosted and tested it but I didn't see if they included the entire movie or not. I'll check and make sure tonight when I get home.

My download has been stuck at 3.99 gigs for about an hour. I take it this is not normal? I right clicked it an "saved target as".

I assume you mean 2.99 gigs? It's only a hair over three so I don't see how it could be stuck at almost 4. If it is at 2.99 I'd say stick with it, your almost there!

I'm glad someone got it to work! If others have dloaded and burnt it successfully please post up so there is more than just discouraging words in this thread, lol.

Thanks for mentioning that you figured out how to watch it w/o burning it. Was there anything you had to do to make this work or was DivX able to play it as downloaded??

DivX played as downloaded, I just tried with Media Player Classic as was suggested and it worked just fine as well.

I actually like this video and when media player classic played it without a problem I had to watch it again.

Thank you for making this classic available to all. :woot: :woot:

I just watched the copy I downloaded from the link. It is indeed full length which is like 53.5 min or so IIRC. That is way past the part with all FOUR of them on one 550. Sorry dude!!

haha, I've been a lurker here for quite some time and this post finally pushed me over the edge and got me to register. So, hello to all!

Ditto, lol I was looking for sluts video from the Oregon Sci cam and saw this thread. I think I watched this video 250 times back in the day. I can still remember half the songs on it for God's sake. Who was it that mounted his bilge vertical and drank from it like a fountain? Fisch? I mounted it on my SJ that way because of that vid.

Btw - I am getting that same 749kb file complete thing. Will try it from home tonight, but if anyone has any ideas, let me know. I would pay someone for their time and hassle of sending me a DVD copy - and for the record, I have tried to find a place to legitimately buy this vid for years and can't.

Does the framerate of the youtube vid seem worse, or just the pixelation. My biggest concern is the choppiness.

If I get it I was going to make a stubby swivel mount with a flat large ring base that slips under the gas cap and is secured by tightening the cap - quick on and off :D

It's a tad bit choppy sometimes, I would say it performs very well for what you pay. frame rate is either 15fps or 30fps. I have a 2gig card and can record for 1hr at 30fps 2hrs at 15fps

I'm guessing it is either a bad disc, your drive is not a dvd+r drive (could be dvd-r, just dvd or even just cd-r or cd capable; should tell you on the front), or you have two disc drives and dvddecrypter is looking at the wrong one. If it's the last case, there should be a little drop down menu on the main screen that lets you select your destination drive and you just need to choose the right one.

I don't know what to tell you guys that are getting the 749kb thing. I have now tried this on three unique computers and can't seem to reproduce it. I am using internet explorer, right clicking the link, choosing save target as..., and then pointing it to my desktop and clicking save. Seems to get past 749kb every time. :dunno:

Worked from home just fine. Watching the vid now. Didn't have a DVD-R, but downloaded Daemon Tools which emulates a drive out of an .iso so you can watch it on Media Player. Man, I haven't seen this video for at least 10 years but I remember EVERY bit of it. So sad, lol.

Thanks a Million!!!!
