I did a search on this but couldnt find what I was looking for. I am running a X-metal waterbox and FRT exhaust and need to know, from the back of the ski how far foward is the exhaust outlet and how high off the bottom.

As far forward you can get it. mine is so far forward it takes me about 15 min just to get it in the hole... major pain in the ass, but it looks nice once its in.

D I turned my slightly down too so it blows the crap down more so then against the ski....my ski stays looking nice/clean a lot longer then most by doing this.

I'm just wondering. Why does everyone put the exhaust on the left side? Better back-pressure or what? I'm changing to front only this weekend... And also, what hose(specific) do you use to connect the waterbox to exhaust outlet?

I think most people go the left because it would be a P.I.A to get it in on the right side with a short hose from the "T" to the outlet Much easier to run a longer hose from right to left. I used radiator hose to connect mine.
