I finally found a piston for this ,all my suppliers were out,jetworks had one in stock ,its on the way.It seems he has a large cash of weisco pistons and he is selling them cheap,this one cost me $42.00 plus shipping.Othere places wanted $72.00 and they didn't have them in stock.
Anyways, for those who might even care about the truth...gagging on that when I think of you two... I first posted for help on my PJS 550 T-3 motor in Sept 2006... To me that is 6 months ago..but gee, maybe I can't add.
Oh yeah...given the fact it has been winter and 3/4 of the country has been snowed in...I at least (living in AZ) was able to keep some progress and lake testing going through the winter. (Between managing work, maintaining a houshold and raising kids...) And yes, I have discovered the fundamental reason for my t-3 performance problems, the smoking gun as it were. After talking to a former PJS boat tuner and engine developer, the response was that 550 pumps were tried, in many configurations, but due to the fundamental design differences compared to a 440 pump, the 550 pumps would never let the more radically ported (T-3+) 550 motors ever rev up to the power band. A 440 pump is required for full performance from a T-3 motor.
So there it was...a definitive, test based response. Sorry, but no one until then had that experience and credibility on the subject. I tried a 440 pump and from the initial result, it is going to be a fast boat. Now I'm ready for fine tuning and thinking of more carb...lots of possibilities.
And then again for the record seadoo, I didn't "come over here" to cause trouble with you. You are so insecure that you can't take a legitimate offer for help...I wish you luck. At some time in you life, you will realize you can't do it all on your own and that's what God's plan is all about. Helping each other. For the rest of you...seemingly followers...trying to insult me when you don't know a damn thing about me...well that is apparently your character...so mature isn't it.

Damn next time I need to plumb in ten extra water lines or try jet pumps that will not work with my engine,you will be the first one that I call Mr Ski.Leave it to you to take a proven engine setup and try to run it in front of a POS 550 jet pump,isn't that kind of a no brainer.Where in the world di you come up with that notion,I know of no one doing it before. I believe I and several others told you early on to put a 440 pump on it.No you had to hear it from a former PJS tuner to believe it.I really prefer to ride my stuff than tinker with it for 6 months so I can't see where you would be of any help to me.I wouldn't sit by the phone waiting if I was you.

Charlie I really wish I had a shade tree,the rent would be much cheaper,I guess I will just have to make do in the three bay shop that I have been working in,yeah I know it sucks,its not painted blue and white and it dosen't have yamaha signs all over it.:sneaky:
And as far as MrT goes ,he needs a permanent vacation,I highly reccomend PWCtoday .I hear its nice over there this time of year.

The piston came in yesterday,Thanks to art at jetworks for hooking me up.I modded the piston up today with the new boost holes and prepped everything for reassembly which should happen tomorrow.
