Do reed spacers help on a ported 98 superjet with b pipe and v force 2 reeds?

They help prolong reed petal life and possibly allow for more unobstructed flow to the transfer ports, but don't expect to feel a performance difference.

I think most people use reed spacer plates for installing longer reed cages and air filter clearance issues.

With the spacer plate installed you lose some signal on the low end, not to mention more gaskets and possible air leaks.

On most set-ups, your not going see any improvements unless it's set-up wrong in the first place. Some design their engine to use these, and in these cases, I'm sure they are benificial. For your stock set-up, they are snake oil. You can buy extended adapters from Riva for aftermarket flame arrestors so they fit. I have yet to have these improve reed life on any set-up I've had. the theory is great, but real world has yet to show me the results.

Supertune swears by them, the guy seems pretty sharp, pm him if he doesn't chime in.
