is this the way things are suppose to be looking when i install these things?

as long as i know im on the right route. the front will get glued then foam every thing else and grind it flush with the hull and then lay glass over every thing?

pictures are big so im just gonna link them...

dont know if you needed to cut the footprint out so big, but thats how Im doing mine. Foam across the gaps then glass. I gotta buy some 12 oz biax for reinforcement but the roads are $#@% because of the snow.

there would have been no way it would sit nearly flush with the hull if i didn't cut out the whole thing. in the front i could have left some material above the hold before the ankle cut out. but it was easier for getting the foam out.

Looks alright, personally I would of left more material above the toe area of the tray...... also look to far forward for my taste but I'm sure you measure/sized them up before cutting.

I cut holes like this:

but yours will work. you will need more glass and epoxy due to lack of overlap, but just take it slow and build up layers of glass and resin. your arent sunk, you can rebuild it!
good luck!

I like to have a flange all the way around my holds during installation on this flange I put the thickened epoxy and screw the folds to the flange then after epoxy dries I pull out the screws then glass.

Are these footholds made for a size 16 foot? I have never likes the REVS too big and they don’t form to the ski the edges are too abrupt

Hey, the Klowners can be considered worse....

Besides the REVs not being made for any particular ski so they don't fit perfect for installation. My biggest complaint would be they don't extend on the bottoms to overlap with the tray to add better support... :banghead:

I totally agree. I don't know why they were designed like that. I just did not cut the bottom of the tray at all and left a little lip so the holds fit right over it. it works but I like the other way a lot more.

My feet are size 14, and wearing my sneakers (New balance) I can fit my foot almost snug (not loose by any means) withOUT any padding in there. Can't wait to launch the damn thing if it stops god damn snowing.
