99 seadoo xp oil tank fill location

Hello, just bought one that has been converted to premix. It's my understanding I still need to keep oil in a separate oil tank for the crankcase. I'm an old motocross guy and I have never heard of this. Dumb question, where is the oil tank fill area? Under the seat? Thx a lot

there are 2 lines that go to the center of the crank area where the rotary valve gears are. most guys that premix them just loop the 2 lines together with a hose barb and make sure the lines stay full. the oils only purpose is to lube the rotary valve gear.

No, the 1999 XP is a 951 with reeds so no rotary gear like the 787 and smaller Seadoo's.

Only thing you have to worry about is the oil pump seizing if the drive hasn't been removed when going to premix. But if it does it will just strip the plastic drive.
