I gave up. I caved in. I'm almost 40 and can finally feel it.

After attending the 2022 TCJP Sortie, it has come to my attention that I do not have the ability to rebound like the 28 year old me. Setting up camp, drinking, and riding multiple times a day left me beyond sore and tired.

I started taking a daily Vitamin, Glucosamine, and Turmeric the week after the event.....Call me crazy, but my joints stopped cracking and tingling within 3 days of taking them. Studies show it takes 4-8 weeks for full take, I can't wait, my knees feel 19 again.

I also went and got some Protein and Creatine powders for before riding and BCAA recovery powder for after. BEEFCAKE

Birdman 2.1 is here.

Eat meat. Vegetables. And fruit. Only food that will spoil in under 2 weeks. Only eat your required calorie intake. A svery slight deficit is actually good if your not trying to build. Don't smoke cigarettes. Dont smoke alot of weed. Stay away from alcohol as much as you can. If you do that. You will live to be 80 yrs old unless your genes suck. In which case nothing you do will extend your quality of life much.

It's probably mostly placebo. The body will only intake certain amounts of each nutrieny. Getting them all in the correct amounts makes a world of difference in how the body operates.

I was squatting and benching twice a week last winter. Plan to return again once the freeze hits.
Start now and keep it up. Lifting is the fountain of youth. The first 2 pics are of this girl when she was 41, the 3rd is her today, 17 years later, you do the math, she'll kill me if I say her age. Weight training and diet. She's dedicated. RVOL9042.JPGUHAI1386.JPGIMG_2847.JPG

6 Months later and still taking them daily. I can high step it in the garage, and not bang my shins. No more cracking in my knees when I squat below 90.

You boys are funny, just went 64 and still going…
Thought the same thing lol. 66 at the end of the month. Just a pup :)
Come on up and help me fix cars in February on sub 30 degree day, after doing a 9 hour shift at a computer. Oh yeah I start the day chasing squirrels up the bluff in the morning with my dog, bring your boots.

I've been eating better and going to the gym since January. I've dropped over 20 pounds and really do feel better. I'll be 47 soon.

Ya know Bird, l do quite well for my age and don!t have to prove to anyone how badass l am or was. Buzzard, Crab, ScottS, and myself survived to this point. Now it’s time for all the foundlings to see if they can make it…

It’s funny to me to see the game warden screwing with everyone one their brother. But when they see an old grey haired dude on a standup, they give you the thumbs up and and move on. So getting old has its perks. Lol

I used to have bad muscle spasms regularly when I was in my 30’s. Had an Army buddy recommend stretching every morning and before anything strenuous. Haven’t had any issues with my back for the last 20 years. Mrs W gets a little impatient when I have to stretch out before going to bed though. Lol

I have also had back and right hip problems forever. No problems at all since I started stretching regularly about 1 1/2 years ago. Stretching is LEGIT guys!
Kudos to you older dudes for keeping at it! I hope to follow in your wake!

I just turned 48. I found stretching before any physical activity is key. I also try to work out 2-3 times a week. I keep busy all winter snowboarding & riding sleds and biking & riding skis all summer. It helps that I'm out in field on jobs 1/2 the week and not at my desk as much I use to. I also date a girl 16 years younger than me so she me limber. Everyone gets old their no stopping it so just enjoy life and have as much fun as possible!

LOL. My gal is 15 years younger, so I will chime in on the same benefit, as well as a LOT more cardio with her than with the ex-wife.
