In the raised boss on my dash I installed my rubber covered switch. I drilled two holes to push it on or off with my finger.. Lets see some creativity..

The Good Old Days
I'm just about done with bilge pumps.

Installed a fancy bar mounted switch only to have it give up in a two months of use.
Rewired the whole setup with a switch I just found at a boat store (said "waterproof" on the box), one month later the pumps aren't working right.
All connections soldered, shrink wrapped and coated in liquid electrical tape yet they still manage to screw up.:banghead:

I'm investing in a bucket and a piece of rope.
Any ideas on mounting those ?

I dont have a pic of mine, but I mounted my rocker switch in the recessed area under the dash. You cant tell its there at all, I removed the dash mounted switch, and siliconed over top of all heat shrinked connections. Looks clean. Ill take a pic soon so you can see. the only hole I had to make through the bulkhead was very small for the two wires.

get rid of your fuel valve and run the fuel lines directly to the carbs. you should be running a seperate fuel line from a seperate pickup to each carb when you have daul 44's. then use that opening where the fuel valve was to mount a rotary switch with a gaurd. The rotary switches last quite a long time.

Shut your mouth. Don't get me started on removing the fuel petcock.

im thinkin about just crimped bullet connectors, cheap, easy to replace, and if using cheap bilges like attwoods ya really dont need to worry about bilges failing and buying new $$ ones. I think SLF said I could get shocked in salt but im only going to daytona for a week then back to fresh water. Any possible problems with this setup??

Pat at X-Metal is now carrying the CPI waterproof toggle switches, I have some still on skis that I installed them over 5 years ago and still working just fine! These will not shock you too! Main thing you want to do when you install them, is to zip tie the wires so they come straight out from switch and don't let them bend too close to the switch.

P.S. I do mount them on the underside of handpole under the steering plate so you can fick it on with your left hand finger anytime without having to reach down to the tray or having to twist a switch...

Rotary switch is the only way to go . I tried the $80 handlebar mount ones and went through 3 of them in a year and a half .
Do not remove your fuel shutoff valve unless you only ride right in front of your house .
