Went and spent some time with him last night. May have been the last. He is shutting down now. Cannot eat, been living off Milkshakes basically. But just does not have the strength to suck anything. Past 3 days he has gone down quick. Just hope he is a peace soon. Friday he could still talk some, now, not so much. Some of the last things he said to my sister was "I am ready to go home"............ He will soon be in his Mama's arms again.............

If your Father was raised with a religion, my Mom was Catholic, have a priest or pastor or minister visit him now for Last Rights, if the religion recognizes such.
My Mother who was comatose opened her eyes looked at the priest and smiled with her eyes beaming during her Last Rights. I hoped that meant that she was getting better, and I slept on the couch that night next to her bed. She passed away in her sleep that night. It is clear to me that the Last Rights helped her.

5:45 AM just as the sun was rising my father passed away peacefully. My mom, sister , Cedric (caregiver) and I camped out in the den with him thru the night. He went peacefully.
