How long is too long for turf glue?

Between coats or between 2nd coat and actually slapping the turf onto the ski?

Could I do a coat, then wait 3 hours, do another coat, then apply the turf to the ski the next day? (My schedule is ridiculous right now with two jobs and wanting to get the SN turfed before Friday without having to take time off from work. ) Or would this allow way too long of a cure, that the two surfaces covered in dry glue would not bond well or at all.

No, won’t work..

Yeah, I just found the instructions.....anything over 2-3 hrs and they recommend slapping on another coat. Still too damn cold to do it here anyhow.

You can coat once or twice and let dry, and the next day/shift you can apply another light coating (the solvent will help reactivate the existing dry glue) and then hit it with a heat gun or blow dryer to help evaporate the solvent more quickly. Might be able to shorten up your waiting period

heat gun from harborfreight and throw the turf in the dryer for a few minutes.

I just did turf for the first time last week. Heat gun or air compressor blowing on it speeds up the dry time to minutes.

You can do a coat each day followed by a final coat 20 minutes before application and it will be fine. The weldwood re-activates the other coats of dry weldwood on contact. For application you want that tacky feel obviously but it can always be reactivated with a fresh coat.

I use this sh*t for my fireworks shows to glue down cakes. If I make a mistake a day later I just dig in with a brush of fresh weldwood and it will reactivate all of it and just come off so I can re position it
