Well my FX1 locked up today. Any advice before I pull the engine?

I have no idea what happened. I was cruising along in the middle of the lake at about 30mph and it was running strong and making great power. It started to stutter a little bit and then it just quit. I tried hitting the starter button and I could hear the solenoid but the motor wouldn't budge. Some people in a ski boat saw me dead in the water and were nice enough to give me a tow back to the ramp. Got it in the garage and pulled the spark plugs out. I can't move the pistons with a screwdriver and it looks like the engine seized. I sprayed some PB blaster down the cylinders to see if I could break it loose but I'm not holding out much hope for that. I suspect that I may have sucked up some debris that clogged the cooling lines and it got hot but I'm not sure. Do you guys have any advice or should I just bite the bullet and pull the engine out of the hull for a rebuild?

Take out the engine bolts to the motor mounts and slide it forward. Verify its your engine that is seized and not the pump. Otherwise, take it out and tear it apart.

That's a good idea, I hadn't thought of that. I looked in the pump and I couldn't see anything jamming the prop but it definitely wouldn't hurt to double check it
