Square nose superjet cover

I have a square nose superjet that I'm not really sure what year it is. Pretty sure it's a 94 hull but the motor in it is a 650 someone threw in. Not worried about the paint since it's got monstaliner, but want to keep the turf nice. I bought a round nose cover since it was cheap and it says they are both 88" long and it's not long enough. Doesnt go over the rubber trim looks like it about covers the rest though. Anyone know what year by looking at it so I can buy something that fits? I'm not that worried about it because this is an extra ski but would like to keep it nice.

I would think any cover for a 1990-1995 SuperJet would work because those are all square nose years.

For my 550sx and 650sx the Covercraft covers fit like a glove. I can't comment on their fit for SJ because I have OEM covers but I bet it would be a nice fit. They show a different part for 1990-1995 and 1996+ so I bet it would fit correctly. They have two different fabric choices (Ultratect and Sunbrella) depending on how rugged you want.

I usually look up the PN by adding to cart on their site then order it on eBay or Amazon to save a few bucks.

I'll take a look at their site. Is it just one size for 90-95 square nose on there? I ordered a 96+ round nose cover since they are 88" long and I read the square nose are the same length and similar width/height. I bought it because it was only 90 bucks. Luckily it fit on my AM hull good.

SuperJet 1990-1993 (SJ650D,P,Q,R)[Generation 1]:

  • Length: 86.04 in (2,185 mm)
  • Width: 28 in (710 mm)
  • Height: 26 in (660 mm)
SuperJet 1994-1995 (SJ700S-T)[Generation 1-Upgraded Engine]

  • Length: 86.04 in (2,185 mm)
  • Width: 28 in (710 mm)
  • Height: 26 in (660 mm)
SuperJet 1996-2007 (SJ700AU-BF)[Generation 2]

  • Length (in): 88.2 in (2,240 mm)
  • Width (in): 26.8 in (680 mm)
  • Height (in): 26.0 in (660 mm)
What's throwing me off is these dimensions I'm finding. Don't understand how they can be so close yet the round nose cover didn't fit over it? I mean mine has turfed rails but it still has the stock rubber bumpers so the length is pretty much the same. I really don't want to spend $120 on a covercraft cover if it doesn't fit. BTW the round nose cover I bought was from covercraft.

Yes. Picking one material/color:
1990 SN: XW814UG
1995 SN: XW814UG
1996 RN: XW837UG

Here is a black one for $120: https://www.ebay.com/itm/180502840085
Their top of the line Sunbrella is $175: XW414D1

Its because the SN has a big square front end that makes the RN cover just a bit too small. I've been looking for a SN cover too, I'm thinking about giving this one a shot off of ebay but can't find any review or info about the brand.

I do have an OEM +96 cover that just barely fits the SN but it's a bit of a stretch.
This makes sense because it was pretty close. Yeah I'm tempted on that ebay one too, but for the extra quality of Covercraft I might just give them a go. Also because my other 3 covers are Covercraft and I can match the color lol

I ordered the one from ebay, figured for $90 I'd give it a shot. I only use it for storage on the lift when it's on the lake so really only need it for sun protection. It's supposed to be delivered by Friday. I'll let you know how it fits and if the material is any good.

Got my cover from eBay. I’m very impressed with the quality and fit, especially for $89! It’s about the same weight canvas as an RN OEM cover. Heavier than my 550’s covercraft. They only negative is there’s no cut out for the bow eye. Doesn’t matter to me because I’m using it At the lake on a lift. Might not be ideal for trailering. Wouldn’t take much to stitch an whole in it though.

Excellent, do you think I can slip a lock cable through the front under it? You have the rubber bumpers on the front and back still on yours? Turfed rails? I'm gonna order one today, thanks for the input!

I’m not totally sure about the lock cable. I think it would be pretty easy to cut and stitch a little stir in the front. I only tie mine up in case the waves get out of control not for security. I have turfed rails and nose, the cover fits secure but enough extra slack to fit different setups.

I'm sold lol looks nice and like it will fit. You have the rubber bumpers right it will fit right over them? I'm gonna buy it tonight I'll cut a hole where I have the lock and make it work. I have 2 stand ups on a jet dock so I'm worried about a wave taking them or my lovely neighbors pushing her in lol. Not all of them love the 2 stroke scream like me
