Freestyle 809 (5mm stroker) tuning specs?

I have a 809cc(5mm stroker). The cases were ported heavily by XScream. I have a PHP intake with VForce3 reeds, B pipe, and OEM 44 carbs with Tau Ceti FA. Looking for a good starting point on jetting and pop off specs. Any help would be appreciated.

I ran a very similar setup with oem 44s on a 800cc 5mil. 117.5 pilot and 122.5 main was the ticket.
I did start with that when I was using OEM 760 intake and reeds and OEM FA. Going to the PHP intake VF3 reeds and open FA I'm needing to change something. I didn't want to swing anyone's suggestion since I was changing so much .

That's not really changing much. Flame arrestors will change popoff. Reeds won't require a jetting change and 760 manifold flows awesome. I ran vf3s, open tau cetis and a 760 manifold with crossover filled.

Ok maybe I can just adjust my pop off then. It was 32psi with the OEM setup and FA. What would you recommend I adjust it to now?

How did your setup run with the Oem FA? Did you have screens removed? I ran around 30 psi along with many others who run that setup. Going to an open arrestor will make you need to lower your popoff usually but you're already at a good starting point.

It ran pretty well. I did have the screens in the FA.

Update... I ended up with 115m 125p and 2.3 n/s with 95g spring Low is about 1/4 high is 1.
Question now is with my low being open so little should I drop down a jet and if I do would I need to make a change to my high(step up one) since they work together for the WOT?

1/4 turn on the low is low. Does it lean stall off idle? Not like these things idle much any ways, but at that low I'd think you might have troubles either coming off idle or coming off 5~10% throttle.

Try running it, holding your throttle for a few seconds at the point of the engine not stalling (IE LOW RPM). Then wack the throttle a from that point to different other points (5% to 25%, 5% to 50%, 5% to 100%) etc. See if it stalls or hesitates. Then do the same with the L at 3/4 turn and see what the difference is (Better or worse)

No lean stall off idle. I was gonna try going to 122.5 low.

Still at 3/4 t on the low, what happens if you hold the throttle at 10% for ~3-5 seconds and then blip it to 25%, then 10% to 50%, and then 10% to 100%?
It would stay loaded up until I could hop it out the water to try and get it to break into the high circuit but it never would fully get out of the load up

Sounds good. I'd try either raising to a 115g spring (Presumably this will raise your popoff from 20 psi up to 22 psi) or lowering your pilot jet 2.5 to 5 points. If one works, try the inverse and see which is best feeling. Keep an eye on your wide throttle runs though cause leaning out the low ends up leaning out the entire spectrum... Possibly not though because you'll be compensating by opening up that low screw which will add the fuel back in.

Thanks will definitely give that a try.
