Title sounds weird, but hear me out....

I have an aftermarket CF superjet clone hull. All 3 midshaft inserts/nuts are bad. So basically I have 3 holes.
I could cut part of the tray out, but I want to run this buy you all first.

What if I installed some brass m8 inserts 90016a029p1-b01-digitals.png
Then sealed them with epoxy+chopped CF? Or gflex+chopped cf? or epoxy/cabsil? M8s are kind of large and there is probably quite a bit of torsion force. I would think Gflex would just bend and twist.
I wasn't able to find much info on larger bolts and inserts, mainly just UFO mounts+tank straps.

Not looking for "don't be lazy, go through your tray" replies, although that might be the way I end up going. If I do take a hole-saw to the tray, what would you recommend then? maybe tack weld a SS washer to a nut and glue that on the inside of the firewall? I've gone through like 1000 options in my head and none seem to be 100% right.

Just went through the same process. I went through the tray. My inserts were fine but 2 of them broke loose frome the Hull. I used gflex epoxy and cloth to reattach inserts and I also made some plates to help spread the load out
