SN Kill switch

I pulled my start/stop switch apart and rushed like an idiot. Anyway, to make a long story short a metal plate with an odd shape cutout fell out in the procces. Any chance someone knows where it goes or better yet has a picture of the internals?

Is it stainless?
It goes around the cable between the zip tie and the housing to keep from pulling the cable out of the housing and breaking the wires off of the switches.
