Super Jet 62T top case with 6m6 bottom case

Getting ready to put my superjet back together and noticed when cleaning the bottom case it said 6m6. I double checked the top case and it said 62T. So my question is, is it 100% safe to run these 2 cases together. I have never seen anything like this before. So I guess my superjet is made up of 3 different generation superjet motors. I have a 61x cylinder, a 62T top case, and a 6m6 bottom case.

Before you get upset, look on the back of both the top and bottom case halfs. By the output seal area. There will be etched numbers? The top and bottom numbers should match?

They match! but what does thte 6m6 mean?

all 650 701 760 cases are cast 6M6 on the bottom case. the top case can be 6M6/650, 61X single carb 701, 62T dual carb 701 or a few others depending on which 701 or 760. some 701 dual carb cases have a boss that can be drilled out for a second pulse line. those are 64V 700 cases, but a 760 cylinder will drop right on those where it usually wont.i think the 64V 700 cases come from XL700 sitdowns. the engraved #s always match from the factory, but I've seen and used a lot of cases that the engraved #s don't match , but they still worked fine. Yamaha cases can be mix and matched when Kawasaki pretty much cant be. 6M6/650 cases were just the very first cases of that design made and they just used the same bottom case casting for the rest.
