GASKETS FOR CHAMP BRAP!
The Hualipai Mountain hare scramble! This is a range of mountains that is only 50 - 70 miles away from Havasu. You can ride up to around 7K feet. I try to ride there at least 4-6 times a year, especially in the hotter weather as its always 20+ degrees cooler up there compared to 550 ft. above sea level at my house. Is this on 1 gas tank? Or do you get gas somewhere? Looks like fun and something I might wanna do!

Yeah, I go to Kingman then get on Hualipai mtn. rd and go up to top of mountain. There you are already at about 5k. Sometimes I park my truck in the lower parking lot of Hualipai mountain resort. You have to ask them and they usually let you unless there is a big function going on like a wedding or something. There is also a couple campground areas up there too that I have parked at and unloaded my bike. Its 70 miles from havasu to there.

Yes, I do all that on one tank of fuel. I am looking for a 4.3 gal. desert tank now for no more worries. Stock tank is like 2.4 gal or something. The mountain range is maybe 25-30 miles long total. I have gone all the way through to Yucca and back and that was 44 miles total. Some of the terrain can get pretty gnarly, but most are nice trails. Thats another reason I go there is less rocks. Im sick of riding on rocks all the time down here by Havasu..lol

If I have a afternoon to kill Ill ride in 10 miles or so and back. Such a nice change of scenery, and the pine trees smell great! I love it up there and highly recommend it.

There are also a few campgrounds back in the mountain areas that can only be gotten to by mx bike, quad, jeep etc. Super secluded back in there..

Slow with work and a rainy day with lots of mist & light rain. Packed the back pack with some brewski's and head out for a few hours. I can leave from my house and only go a block before I am in the desert. Most of these pics are just 5-7 miles north of Havasu.
