MSD TL Anomaly?

My TL brain that I bought used and got 4-5 years out of finally stopped working correctly and acted as though the rev limiter was coming on very early. So I put a brand new one in and also replaced both pickups and coils.
Now, I've noticed that one cylinder fires once per revolution, at TDC, but the other fires twice per revolution, every 180 degrees. I was going to see if switching that one channel fixed it, but I still am curious as to what's going on. If the pickup wires had rubbed through and were touching, then both coils should fire every 180 degrees, but I'm only seeing that on one coil.

I just had one do this. I ended up putting a different bigger motor in before I had a chance to look into it and it didn't do it after the install. I think is somthing with the stator plate. Pickup wires or spacing from pickups to flywheel. I never touched the brain except to hit switch 4 to set up static timing.

Their was another thread with this issue, don't remember the out come though
That was my thread. Before I figured it out I went with a different short block and after the install the issue was gone.
