Yamaha 1100 conversion help

Ok so I'm probably going to be doing an 1100 yamaha conversion into a b1 hull. Im on a budget so I don't really want to buy the conversion plates. Does anyone have any info about glassing in new front mounts? By the way my donor ski is a wave raider 1100.
Thanks, Kyle

Yeah thats how I did my 1200. I cut out some old mounts from a doner raider, took plates mad eby 701 ind , bolted the plates down to the std mounts. Then added the 3rd mounts to suit

Just buy the plates. I don't really know why you wouldn't. Do they cost?....yes. You are building something that is worth it. Don't cut corners. I'm not trying to be a smarta$$ about it, but just trying to say invest in your build to make it all work well.

I did a 1200 conversion and worked with Dave from xtreme. I'm glad I did.

Funny what people will do. Spend a dollar to save a dime.

Just get the plates. It is not worth the time and money to basically make-up your own motor mounts and then locate them in the hull.

Sometimes it is worth the time to save some money.

Emphasis on "sometimes". That depends on how well you value your time and if you are capable of producing work that is of adequate strength and quality. Motor mounts are a very critical part of a build, especially when you are supplying 1/3 more power over the existing components. Imo, now is not one of those times to "save the money". You.will end up spending it somewhere else down the.road so you might as well do it correct the first time.

I apologize if I am coming across as a dick..I've been in the same position (we were all 16 once..) and looking back I made some poor decisions on these types of matters. We're just.trying to steer you in the right direction not because it.simply costs more, but because it is actually a much better option than the alternate. That said, learning from experience is sometimes the only way to learn.

No they are different...have u seen the Ada brackets and how they work? You use your stock blaster mounts in stock location and than use the bracket on top of them
