Last season I built up my squarenose hull and it turned out great  Recently sold that hull to a buddy of mine who is just getting into freestyle am in the process of acuiring and/or building a hull for this year. The squarenose weighted 155lbs w/ hood and I know I can shedd 50lbs

Not sure what hull I am building yet, probably a round. I know for sure that I am running a Waterdawg billit pole but that is about all I know at this point :cool2: Maybe the Daytona ride will give me some ideas :cheer:

The motor will be about the same:

*Standard stroke Lamey PV
*Ported cases
*B-pipe
*dual 48mm Riva Powerbomb carbs
*Boyesen RAD Valves

**New Additions**

*MSD TL
*C-75 Impeller and TBM cone

More info to come.............................................

No more love for the square ?

That's cool, I'll be retiring my square after Daytona as well. With the new Waterdawg hull I'm going to win who needs the square.

Cat came out of the bag in Daytona :cool2: Ordered the hull a few weeks ago. Prepreg top deck, wetlaid and bagged bottom deck. Waterdawg X-jet (w/o side wings):headbang: Color scheme will be yellow and black. Pics of the build will follow later.

Man, I can't wait to see it. You're square was nice, this should be killer. You already had plenty-O-power, and now an awesome ski to put it in! Congrats:biggthumpup:

i think your next one should be a WCF ski.... but thats just me.

i can kick in a few hours turf time for ya!

nice to see you again in daytona, hunter!

WCF makes a clean boat. I have always liked the x-jet design and features. Plus half being in prepreg will make it exceptionally light. The squarenose weighed 155lbs w/ hood and I am looking to drop a solid 50 + lbs w/ the x-jet  And yes it will have an aluminum mandrel bent and welded exhaust tube in it :haha:

My goal is to make the ski as clean as possible.......nothing asthetically over the top. Simple, clean power and nimble boat.

Here is all that is left of the Ultimate Squarenose. The hull and handlepole has been sold, so I currently just have a motor and 2 rolls of turf.

Kart Tank Mod.:

Worked on modifying the Kart tank today. I initally mounted the fuel pump to a bracket which inturn was mounted to the tank. However, I did not like how much the pump protruded from the tank, it just looked a little out of place. To fix the eye sore I drilled and tapped the fuel pump housing to accept a M8 bolt. Then I threaded the bolt into the housing, added a little epoxy, lopped off the head of the bolt and now the pump itself threads onto the tank. VERY clean looking  Later I will cut off the two brackets on the fuel pump for an even cleaner appearence. Also cut fuel foam in squares and filled the tank up about 1/4.

If your bare SN hull and hood weighed 155lbs, you'll shed more like 75 pounds with a Waterdawg hull. Maybe more if he builds it for flat water. Prepreg deck... it's like picking up air.

Yeah, I will shed quite a bit of weight but I am being pesimistic in case we make it beefy  It will be a flatwater hull but I want it to last at least 4-5 seasons so we it will be built stought. I held Superramjets hood in Daytona and it was only 6 lbs  Everyone who picked it had a tendency to start laughing. Seriously the hood alone saves between 6-9lbs depending on what you compare it too. Prepreg is the only way to go for lightweight.........that I have seen. Even the raffle hull was light, weighing about 95lbs. I walked right up to it and picked it up with one hand pretty easily. The target weight for this hull is 75lbs w/ the hood :fingersx:, but we will see. Still that is about the weight of a carbon hull from Germany for 1/3 the price.

Didnt you check out the Trinity Hood? That was wet lay up and Bagged. It weighs 6lbs and its a SXR. It can be done, but only few out there have the experience to build this stuff so light..... Jeff is definetly on the top of his game from everything a saw at Daytona!

That stuff from Trinity was really nice  I mean seriously, that was some impeckable work. I was under the assumption that it was a prepreg carbon b/c he talked about baking it in an over to cross link.............. Either way, he has excelent control over his resin content whatever process he is using and the fit and finish of the parts was killer :hail: When I talked to him he was pretty adimate about doing just SXR stuff and a complete hull is not that far off from my understanding. He is definatly a guy to watch..............you SXR guys have it made. :beerchug:
