UMI Steering/grips

hey, alrite im a newby. I just got a 0 degree umi extended bar, with a black hot prod throttle. The turn plate on my 750 sxi is pretty ugly, and i want to buy a -1 turn plate from blowsion. Do i need to buy the sealed bearing system? or can i just get the -1 conversion? Are there anyother materials i need to attach the bar to the plate??


Anyone have any grips they really like? rogue, ruffian, odi? squishy/hard?

yea i was stuck between the ruffians n the new xtremes. the xtremes look too big, like fat/squishy. the ruffians are spose to be thinner n harder. theyre both for 20 bucks. i think ill go wit the brand spankin new x-treme. and ill e-mail that water dawg guy about that plate. blowsion wants 175 fo the plate n bearings :eek5:

I have the Water Dawg steering system and I just installed it. It is trick and the quality is amazing and the new design I feel is better than UMI. I will include a pic. The new grips, who has them in stock?

Does the WD System not use the UMI Mounting system like the blowsion, xmetal, and wamiltons use?

The WD system is plate, bearing, and post that will mount as any steering system, but the bearing inclosure is designed to be stationary so the housing does not move with the bearings. The needle bearings are larger in diameter as well as the housing as you can see in the pics i have posted. This is a complete system as the UMI. It does not use any UMI parts. It is an alternative to the UMI and I Like the design and craftsmenship much better. It is a quality product. I will post more information after I have used it a few rides.

how much did you spend for that system? (just the plate n bearings)
how are you suppose to mount the plate onto the pole? would i just attach plate to the big grey piece in pic below? does my plate look shortened? i dont really have n e idea.

I was just going to order the grips off of blowsion. i dont know if they have them or not, i was assuming.
