Easy to modify ?

Think yamaha has a better startstop switch especially when i saw the mod from Lava storm design...is a rebuild easy and possible?

The best way to do this conversion is to open the ebox and change out the harness to one with a Yamaha plug end. It would be as simple as unplugging the 4 bullet connectors and plugging in a new harness. After that, you can simply plug any Yamaha switch right into it. If you ever want to go back, just open the box up and change the harness back.

I spoke to @OCD Solutions about this because he has the resources to build such parts. The price we discussed was very fair. I believe you should work with him on a harness. If you want the Yamaha switch, this is definitely the best way to go about it.

I actually built two of these harnesses and have them ready to go if there's interest in them.

I'll have to look back at my cost before I state a price. I had to purchase and modify brand new OEM harnesses for the first couple just because the grommets are not available. Once I cast molds to produce my own grommet, the cost can be reduced significantly.

I have over 20 Yamaha start/stops in a box here and only one from a Kawasaki. I would switch based on availability alone.
