Skat Impeller Correct?

Hey guys-

New pump for my 144mm FX1 conversion came with a Skat 63V. I read that this is a 13/16 Variable pitch prop.

Is this a good prop to start with 701, msd, lightened flywheel, Wetjet intake and 46mm sbn, mod b-pipe.

Thanks,

Trent

Im guessing youll be a little low pitch-wise on at least the trailing edge . Skat's impeller chart shows you should be somewhere around a 13/17 to 14/19 with those mods....although those recommendations are for a superjet, not an fx1 with a 144mm pump.

Run it and see if you like it. You can bend the blades yourself or send it out to @speedysprocket and he can re-pitch it for you quickly.

The best thing to do is measure it with a prop gauge, then you actually know where you are. If it reads 13/16 on a guage, it won't make a good freestyle prop. If you are going to run buoys it should be a pretty good prop for that. A skat 12/17 won't read the same as a solas 12/17 on a gauge.

Personally, I have never seen a SKAT impeller with a number like that. Sounds like an OE Yamaha impeller, maybe re-done by Skat. You could call glen direct and ask him.

I agree, you really should measure it. (or just put it in and try it)
