Blaster WB1 bogs badly when turning to the right, problem just started

Hello all,

Need a little help. Our WB1 developed a problem over the last two rides of bogging / sputtering badly when you turn hard to the right. Runs perfectly when turing left. Really weird problem. I played with the wires coming from the start / stop switch during the right turns but that didn't make a difference.

When you finish the right hand turn and get the bars back to a neutral position it runs fine.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

I'm not familiar with any Nascar races held in the water! LOL, but witty reply.

Seems to do it at any level of fill in the tank.

No fuel vent line running to the steering on B1's.

Any other ideas?

water from the exhaust running back into the cyls somehow either a gasket or cracked manifold. also check your plugs maybe needle is sticking in the carb

It's definitely an engine missing / bogging condition vs an issue with the jet exhaust.

I will take a closer look around the manifold, head, etc...

Any good way to see if there's a water in the cylinders issue without pulling the head?

It has a ProTec pie and head that were installed before I bought it if that makes any difference.

I've read diff articles I think on group k about issues when turning a certain direction and they are carb- related. Sorry I have no more to add on specifics.

I had exactly the same problem on my b1, it was a split in the exhaust coupler, engine moved on the cornering and exhaust gasses choked the engine!

Mcscrew - I will check the exhaust couplers carefully.

Catpower - No water in engine bay to speak of (maybe a tiny bit, but mostly it's dry). Do you happen to have the pages from the Mikuni handbook that describe the issue?

Thanks to all for the suggestions and responses. Any input is appreciated.

Think I may have found the issue. The fuel line from the filter to the carb was cracked near the fuel fitting on the carb. Replaced the line and will water test tomorrow.
