Quick question guys, what should I use to seal things like the gas filler and pole bracket to the hull? Silicone or something else?

Thanks

Use Permatex RTV Clear Silacone.

It has always worked the best for me. But.... I use gasoline to remove it when need be... I still used it on my gas filler with no problems.

On a side note, I used some cheap silacone from ACE Hardware once on my 650 pump shoe. Well it didn't hold up and the ski cavitated like crazy!

Group K told me to use the Permatex RTV and i have never looked back. It is by far the best pump glue.

I can attest to the cheap silicone. I used it once and I could pull it right out after full cure. Any good silicone/adhesive should work. I have always used the GE Silicone II with no problems.

I already gooped it up with silicone. Oh well, I has untill may to cure, and even if it doesn't last, it's not that hard to redo.

... Any silicone I ever used got sucked out even after setting up for a couple days. 4200 would be the way to go

Same thing happened to me when I used cheap silacone. But if you use Permatex RTV silacone, it won't come free.

The downside is when you need to remove the pump, it cam be a pain to do so. I just keep cutting wit ha razor knoife and apply a little pressure.

Be careful removing a 650 pump people! I have seen more than one with cracked pump shoes from prying them out!
