Looking sweet!!! some sxr love

 Glad to hear that you have some stuff ready for sale... I expect to see some real good things from ya Bob....

:arms:

give me a call today, when ya get a chance. I need to talk to ya about a couple things...

Stock hood 20lbs Trinity guestimated 6lbs.... -14lbs.... hood weight does not include a fire ex. in either hoods. That 14lbs is coming from the top of the Boat.... better, lower center of gravity!

race rideplate aluminum almost 5lbs I believe, trinity 2lb 2oz. -2.5lb roughly

his nose piece weighs 11oz.... all that stock shiet he forgot to weight. probably -1 to 1.5 lb

so to answer your question I would say right around 18lbs

:Edited:5lb battery would scratch another 7lbs
XMW WB with front only exhaust would scratch another 8lbs about
cut all the exsesive glue.... not sure what that weighs probably 3-5lbs Id guess.
Put in a 8.5 liter race cart tank -3 to 4lbs

all that would be close to another 20lbs...... now your down close to the weight of most reinforced SJ's

I bet with all that work done.... you would have a great freeride ocean boat, and even a good flatwater boat with some power!

I'm glad to see some nice AM parts for the sxr! I was considering it myself , but I'm not sure if the market is there quite yet (that's for freestyle of course)

Can't wait to check it out!

lets see some SXR hoods that have handholds in them for rec/freestyle riding
lighter too
and a little lower profile
hopefully without needing to change the nose piece and handle bar bracket

or can you custom make one?

We have two hoods, one for race w/clearence for dry pipes and one will have hand holds and a different liner for freestyle/freeride.The hood profile will remain stock ,We have a low profile all composite hand pole in development that will help lower overall profile. Also have a f/f nose piece that will delete fuel fill. Will post some more pics soon.

does that hood only come in black?
any chance of white?
what about adding handholds?
makes putting the hood on easier
is it lower than the stock hood?

We would like to make all the hoods in two part white epoxy primer. No gel coat because the parts are epoxy.Gel coat is also much heavier, cracks easily and doesn't bond as well to epoxy without a tie coat in between which ads to cost. Primer and paint is the best choice to use w/ epoxy parts.

Have you figured out prices on these parts? Using epoxies is the way to go to make lighter and stronger parts, but it also adds cost to making it

Around $900 for the hood:biggthumpup: Not a bad price for what your getting IMO. No prices are set in stone yet. Does Anyone out there have a hood that will hold up that weighs 6lbs? Material cost is very expensive..... you get what you pay for:biggthumpup:
