Custom/Hybrid Handlepole bolt tightness?

Hey guys, I've been messing with my pole bolt on my bob (rrp billet pole bolt, rrp cast pole with spacer, blowsion lowered rrp bracket) and can't seem to get it tight enough to keep the pole in place. Are there any tips or tricks to get this thing tight without the dang thing breaking? I feel like I can't get it much tighter without it snapping.

Thanks guys

I made a couple mistakes with mine, didn't realize the braket was threaded and just kept tightening the bolt and nut until the threaded end of the bolt snapped off. Da!

I switched to a cold fusion stainless bolt and you can get it friggin tight as you want it

Your poll bushings aren't worn out are they

Yeah, I think I'm gonna end up going that route with the stainless bolt. The noises I'm getting from trying to tighten this one are making me think it's gonna snap at any second

Some grease on the threads maybe...? I cranked my aluminum bolt down as hard as I could and it's been great for a while now. My old x metal pole used to need to be retightened almost every ride because the bushings wore that fast.

I put some anti seize on it since I ride salt. Also some lube on the other end. Still made the horrid creaking and I got it as tight as I could without needing a massive cheater bar. Just gonna go with the stainless bolt for peace of mind. Didn't feel comfortable cranking on it so much. As tight as I had it, the pole still wouldn't stay up on its own at all.
