Vibration and no hook (pump?)

My q8 just developed a bad vibration and the pump won't hook.

Pump seal looks good, shaft spins nice (not loose), motor mounts look good.

Could I of spun a pump bearing? Never really had pump issues so don't know how to diagnose. But I do know I'm like 4 hours into a week long vacation on the lake and my ski doesn't run. Please help. Any vendors I'm ready to overnight the parts if you can help me figure out what I need.

Thanks

How hard is it to yank the pump on that thing? One spin once separated from the engine will tell you what direction you need to go.

Could still be splines. Kawi pump right? I had one turn over out of the water and look ok but with a load it would slip an vibrate like hell. I know the Kawi suck to pull and put back, but sounds like you have to at this point.
Prop come loose? If it is Kawi it may be jammed on the shaft and will know real fast when out if the hull.

So the rubber nose cone prop to shaft seal ripped in half and I guess was trying to go through the prop. I found it up in there and went for a ride without it and all is fine :/ I expected some caviatation without that in there but it's running ok.

Good find Jordan, now enjoy the rest of your vacation!

I have always believed the rubber nose cone to be useless as well but there are guys that will claim it's a huge issue when missing or torn.

Last year mine ripped in half also and was wedged between the impeller and wear ring. Huge pita to get it out while floating in the ocean inlet
