Best under tray cooling lines?

you think rubber hoses in an inaccesible area are "superior" to metal tubes.

yeah, youre quite the engineer yourself.

:haha::haha:

Personally, I'd go with an aluminum exhaust tube, it does seem more robust.

But for cooling lines, Jeff's method is the best I've seen and I'll explain why. Number 1, that tubing will last forever. There are absolutely no worries about the durability of the tubing. It is very stiff and tough. Number two, it allows for a better seal to the hull. The fittings are barbed and they have a flange in the middle. You absolutely can not pull them out of the hull (which you can easily do with wimpy little straight tubing, I've done it several times on OEM hulls). Number 3, both lines come into the hull on the left side, right where they should be.

You're welcome for the compliment SFL, and thank you Jeff Curry :hail:

i don't see a problem with it.

its not like its a wear and tear piece. water flows through it. its supported by the foam. nothing is rubbing against it.

i think you should make a poll to see how many people think it would be alright and not be alright.

Anything's better than those Yamaha aluminum POS's. Or PVC for steering and driveshaft.

you do it your way. ill do it the right way. cant you take the hint of the thread being locked???? or what about the other thread that chick started on the SAME SUBJECT.......

OMG, this is the quote of the century (considering the source). ROFLMAO!!

Mods, please feel free to lock this thread, Charlie has spoken (and once again he provides no knowledge).

BK, there may not be a best way, but for someone who so adamantly ripped on braided hoses, you think he could come up with at least 1 good reason why they are bad or the conventional way is better??? :frown:

its bad for the same reason that running extension cords through your wall is bad.

its bad for the same reason that patching a hole with duct tape is bad.

its bad for the same reason that driving with the little donut spare tire is bad.

its bad for the same reason that patching a hole in the wall with a styrofoam plate is bad.

its bad for the same reason that space art with spray paint and stencils is bad.

can ya figure it out yet?

it starts with "ch" and rhymes with sneezy

it starts with "L" and rhymes with toe budget

it starts with "c" and rhymes with nutting corners

Because it's always been done this way, not the other way. :haha:

I better stop pouring gasoline on the fire.

My opion (FWIW) is that stainless steel braided lines ought to be plenty good enough.
That opinion is not based on actual facts.

the thread is about BEST lines.... not plenty good enough lines.

matt, if you had the choice of metal tubing or rubber hose, regardless of price, which would you use?

I'd use one metal line to go through the hull on both ends. That's just me - again, not based on facts, just personal preference.

Thanks for not proving your point. Again
