Idea : ski of the month

I seen on other forums they do polls for like bike or truck of the month and u can vote . Idk it's just a idea but I think it would be cool for this forum as well . Post a pic people vote . What do u you guys think ?

i think that is an awesome idea. then on the front page of the forum it could be the members build thread with a pic of their ski. leave it up there on the front page for a month until someone else gets voted up or chosen

check out the link and see how another forum i frequent holds monthly "car of the month" contests. the member submits a pic of their car related to the monthly topic(chosen by the mods) and the image with the most likes wins and gets featured on the front page for a month.

I like the idea, and have seen it done on another forum I frequest.

The other forum I am on doesnt have the topic (which I think is neat). They just have a random - vote for someone poll. I notice all the same people keep winning, which is the popular kids on the forum.

That's a good idea too..Definitely sounds more competitive. That could be fun fosho.

Thats probably going to be the case a lot of times, but i think people who give older skis special love will be noticed, and i think those skis will also be voted on. just my $.02

Good idea but it limits to a certain type of rider . I would just like to see the site grow with more members and get more people into skis idk it's just a thought

Great idea, how about a category of the month? IE Superjet, aftermarket, Fx1, SXR, etc. Each month it's a different type of ski, that way money won't just win.

exactly. each month there should be a different topic all related to skis. for example :

on the stand (pics of skis on beach carts, stands, trailers, ect)

in progress (skis being built, worked on, ect)

surf

flatwater

buoy course

custom paint jobs

ect


the possibilities of monthly picture topics is endless.
