Which carb is best for a ported 61x ?

I'm looking for wet jet intake and 46 carb. If interested in trade or other on me please.

Pick up a wetjet intake, or a regular 46sbn and jet accordingly. Open up the intake a little bit, be done. If you're gonna spend $600 on a single carb, get an A/M intake and dual 38's and jet accordingly. And still spend less.

That is exactly what I thought. I have a single 46 and it punches pretty hard but I have a 760 cylinder on top so I know I am fighting port timing. Don't have a wetjet intake though....perhaps that would help, or a set of better reeds. Please explain why wetjet intakes are better on the 61x than the stocker. I haven't tried opening up my mani at all. I could go that route first.

Or..I could just leave it be and get better at riding!

It is a totally different design. It has a built in stuffer system on the intake track.

If you've got a 760 cylinder, I'd look in to the dual 38's, maybe some taper bore 38's on a protec intake and carbon reeds. Would be a nice setup I think

keep in mind I have a 61x case. I would really not like to reinvent the wheel with my set up as it hits pretty hard. Just looking for a little more immediate snap.

No, there were specific ones that had the one piece intake with reed stuffers. I'm thinking the kraze was one if the ones. That one you showed wAs just a normal intake painted

Thank you for that response. I might try opening mine up as its the standard 44 mm right now. I could open it up to 46 to match.

And 38's are cheap. Intakes for 61x dual carbs are fairly cheap. Reuse your stock reed cages with carbon reeds. Get your jetting right and DoNe
