Lake Pleasent Arizona

image.jpg image.jpg Today there was a gathering somewhat for us AZ riders. It was a birthday ride and ill let them post the pics and stuff. It was my first time at that lake and the water was amazing. Alittle cold but not to bad in the wetsuit, my girlfriend didnt ride this time when she usually does but she took some good and some decent pics. My fx1 has the 61x/61x from my superjet and for some reason it ran like a beast I couldn't have been happier. 760 is going in and I can't wait! I assembled the ski in just a few hours before hitting the lake including finally putting on a 61x head that appropriately fit and had the proper exhaust mount location.

GASKETS FOR CHAMP BRAP!
I will agree it was pretty nice weather yesterday afternoon. Looks like a good time for all! Thanks for the pics.

I had ski fever yesterday too, but needed to finish some house construction work. I know there will plenty of riding time soon.

Didn't get many pics at the lake...who does, when your focused on riding.

Did get a lot of vid footage between my cam and J's. I'll post that up later this week.

Sweet dude, I showed up alittle late. Ill have to ask for a test ride on your ported 701. My superjet is going to have the 701 and I want to see into some port work to open it up. As far as what noticeable increase came from the porting. Major or minor and what did it help such as throttle response. Did it shave some topend to pick up bottom end. Your ski looked great dude. I was also stoked on how my fx1 rode haha I'm just glad I got it put together and it didn't have a single problem. I was very lucky yesterday to say the last.

Nothing super amazing was done to my ski it's the combo of everything that woke it up from stock. Opened the ports on the cylinders as much as possible ported the exhaust to match for better flow. Shaved the head for higher compression. I run 91 pump gas, Had no desire to go into race fuel. Added a flow control valve so water doesn't go into the stinger for a little more bottom end. I already had a great prop, so the pump was just adjusted for dual cooling and the nozzle was bored and a stubby pump cone added.

The only thing I would change about this ski is adding a b pipe. Other then that I love it. The b pipe will come in good time.

It is great to ride year round but living in Arizona thins out your blood. The water was cold at 50*. One of our riding buds is from Washington state and even he says the water is cold now! Haha!

Riding in the middle of summer sucks out here as well...we usually get to the lake early in the am. Cause by 2-3pm the water feels like a bath tub.

Haha it gets hot yea but it's fun to get in the water at those times haha so I love it. I learned so many tricks quickly because I was willing to fall as many times as it took to learn haha. I enjoy the winters for exploring around the lake and cruising. Hard to do when I just put a ski together haha. I'm hoping its in the 90s by march

Hey superjet I hope to meet you one time at Havasu. I got to ride Havasu the week before finals week and it was sick haha super windy though and it made for 2-3ft rollers haha resulted in breaking my square nose pole but I was having a great time doing 5ft nose stabs haha!

Thats when i head up the river to the cool water during nasty monsoon season. Like you say early AM riding cause its a bath water in the afternoon.

I hate laying in the water sweating for a half hour trying to cool down after a nice riding session....haha

I love laying out in the middle of the lake to cool off and take a break when it's hot. I was riding 2-3 times a week in the summer right when I got my 650 square. More parts have been going on and less riding getting done haha. I WILL be ready for the summer to rip!
