Look what you started with the "'poor man's strokers" question.

Rod length, stroke length sounds like porn to me. Jetski porn:biggthumpup:

If you really want a "'poor man's strokers" you should go buy a Playboy.
For $5 you can stroke it all you want instead of $5000 for stroker Lamey
.:haha:

Ya I know useless post but I'm bored and crippled.
See ya
Steve

:haha: :haha: :haha: LMAO

I loved the LPW 6 mil stroke ada cyl that Paul built....
Had Great smooth Power... I would buy one, if I crapped my motor.
Not to much power though.. But enought to push me in both flat and surf. Its all preference and what you want... Someone break out the Brapometer !

Still Fat....
are even the 5mil strokers as ragged edge as the 6+

are the 5mils the 'poor man's strokers?'

i think once you step into the stoker league, there is no cheap way...
unless you get seriously hooked up

the stokers are great, but not truly necessary, depending on your skill and riding level.

i just love the brute power out of my setup that Paul built.
and remember initial cost is alot, and so is maintaning them.

i'm due for a rebuild soon, and went 3 years on mine, but i don't really get to ride that much. i'm probably at the 150gal mark, but i run a steep prop so it revs quicker.

when you play.... you gotta pay

while i love the Lamey setup i have now, i still really liked the standard 701 limited i had first. $$ to $$, couldn't beat it.

would be nice to have another avialable option out there, now if we can only get cranks and decent oversized cases... we'd be good to go

The new ADA Seadoo big bore motor is almost done! I'm only going out to 90mm pistons as the sleeves can be maxed out at 91mm... but on the very edge of sleeve thickness, about .080 wall at 91mm.
This motor I'm finishing is CrankWorks 8mm stroker w/kaw 133 rods and Wiseco Seadoo Pro-lites 951 pistons= 967CC's Doing this one on pump gas. Give us 2 more weeks to get running as the new WaterCraft Factory hull just came in earlier this week...This is the new cylinder from ADA comes unbored for finish sleeves, 2 raw ported sleeves, 2 base gaskets, a .350 spacerplate, sutd kit for cylinder and the head is studded too, head shell w/choice of domes and was made for any builder to set up his ports to his own spec's! Oh my god those Exhaust ports are small...S$it that's work.
I pre-ported the sleeves in the bridgeport and was still a REALLY lot of porting work and REALLY hard billet aluminum, I had to throw away my socks 4 days in a row to get the porting done! Nasty! But I like to build Horsepower!

Just curious why you are building it to run off pump gas? Will it live a much longer life by doing that? That motor sounds like it will be unbelievable.

Decided at the last minute to anodize the billet parts and ceramic coat engine mount ears, front cover, and exhaust system for killer looks with a matching paint job, hull is STILL at the paint shop!!! It's been there a while...But promised this saturday!
