Super Jet what would you do?

hey guys. Got a 94 701 SJ that has a jet dynamics ride plate(standard length) that im debating swapping out for a stock inplan to Dcut.

Would you guys recommend just cutting my JD plate flush and then doing the DCUT? Or selling/ trading for a stock?

In that context, anyone have a stock rideplate?!:silly:

Also, ski is pretty well stock other then riva pipe, jet dynamics intake grate and some 3-4 degree handlebars. What does everyone suggest i get for the next 1-3 mods? I ride flatwater freestyle

Cheers!!!!

Not to be that guy but for flatwater I would get a AM hull. But for just messing around on the water and having fun a SJ is a good start don't expect to backflip or barrel roll anytime soon. That being said, since you have the riva I would keep that until you get all the other basic mods then upgrade to a b-pipe. Bump up that comp to 185 either by buying a A/M head or milling the stock one. As for ride plate that JD one is great for rec riding it would be a shame to cut it. But for freestyle I would find a stocker and D cut it.

where does one find a 9/15? ive been looking for awhile now.

Any suggestions on which footholds to get? little scepticle on installing them as its my first but is it worth getting the diggers/foothold inserts/mat from blowsion?

whoes got an ADA head!?

I've got a purple ada head that would match your ski perfectly

Dont get any of the blowsion holds or pre cut mat kits, they all suck. I would order a bigger set of holds like the xmetals and order a sheet of 1" foam and 1 full sheet of hydro turf will do your whole ski

This is coming from a guy who has been riding "freeride" for 2 seasons...technically a season and a half...anyways

Do you have boat wakes to use?

I think that's pretty important.

Bottom line: If you ride pond water Modern Freestyle costs about 10 grand if you have a knack for making it backflip.

Otherwise you rely on waves for your pleasure. For me, when it's flat, I HASSLE boats, I point to there wake to see if its cool for me to get closer and follow them. If they don't I do it anyways cause I just spent 30 bucks on gas and oil so I'm getting my :):):):):)ing monies worth either way. Sometimes the guy slows his big yacht down to trolling and we run off to freeride around whatever any boat kicks up. Whatever. Some times the guy slows down so we can keep up and we get a half hour of shred time. That's what I like about FREERIDE...you use what you have at the moment. At any moment...ride that f**king jetski like that's all you give a :):):):) about.

F modding this and that just get a stock superjet and go nuts... I could rant and rave but whatever.

Here is my big tip I guess. If you are in any sort of waves, wether it be boat wake rattle bouncing around or pond with a sweet friendly wake to follow or 13 foot rollers ready to make you die on the jetty just go hard as :):):):) and slash and jump till you run out of gas.

I'd say buy a stock rideplate and freeride around and compare it to your current. If it's the same and you dont like it study up on the rideplate threads and make what you want!
