FX-1 650 prop build ? scat trk 5

hi there new to this forum its a very interesting an helpful site. my skis are s/n and the fx-1 .,
i was hoping to do a 650 pump swap and am eyeing up a pump4 sale that has a scat traks 5 prop
is this a good or bad prop for this build?

It will work, but a skat swirl would be much better. The most economical setup is a stock SXR prop, it works great but needs to be machined for a 6mm setback.

Or you can set the pump back /cut the drive shaft and run any sxr/sx/six prop. That's what I did and it works great.

thanks mate does set back mean a mechine shop has to cut the blades off and reweld them 6mm back?

No, they just need to machine 6mm off the inner hub mounting surface and then counterbore the threads an equal 6mm. It's very easy and only takes about 30 minutes if they know what they're doing.

I'm running a couple different setups. My 900 Kawi powered FX runs a 16/21 skat swirl in a 650 pump. My "frankenstein" FX runs a 11/17 solas swirl in a kawi 148mm pump spun by a Dasa 850. And finally, my orange FX runs a 14/19 skat swirl in a 650 pump, spun by a team scream ss865.
