http://ozfreeride.com/index.php?threads/toughen-up-701-transom-plate.8101/You have any installed pic. I know Chris had them at WaveDaze but most people looked and didn't understand.
Are you drilling holes and bolting them? Do you SEM them on?
are these available with exhaust hole on right side ??
Nice product.. But what's to prevent the rear lip from cracking.
I like that surf wedge a lot is it available in the US? Not to be a dick but how much can that thin stainless plate reinforce the transom? I'm not saying it doesn't just looking for some feedback, it seems like it might cover them up more than prevent them.
In situations where a rear exhaust is already fitted, so long as you can remove it, customers will buy a non exhaust hole model and drill the plate to suit there own exhaust. The Carbon wrap on the plates is just that. a wrap. they say the material has a 3 year warranty so will have to see. You still have a mirror finished plate under the wrap. Retainment of the surf wedge is done through the five existing trim holds. The Surf Wedge comes with 5 self taper screws,. The Wedge itself is a snug fit . These Surf Wedges and Transom plates are designed off a standard B1 so any mods to the rear end will most likely cauCool I think that surf wedge looks awesome and would give me a lot more confidence hitting big waves, I reinforced my lip with a few layers but that would be much better. That makes sense about the plate, I already did rear exit a few years ago though so it wont line up with mine.
Is the carbon look made of carbon or just a decal? How does the surf wedge mount? And could you do the surf wedge but then do the plate later?
