Ok well wanted to make the most of the summer on the ski but all summer I have been battling a fault on my ski!
every time before I put the ski in the water I run it for a minute on the trailer to make sure it's all ok starts ok and nothing stupid has happened.
During this period it runs absolutely fine runs perfect at home on the hose too, now when it goes in the water sometimes it wil be fine for 20 mins others it will start off bad instantly, its generally only bad for a minute or 2 then its normal again and completely rideable. Sometimes when it's bad It can either be really low on power not on 1 cylinder or anything just almost seems as if there's no feul or miles too much you can't do anything with it it ticks over ok but won't rev much higher than idle. Seems to clear quicker with a few pumps of the throttle rather than slowly bringing up the revs, when it does clear it seems to be fine for another period. Other times the fault can be riding in the chop as I always do rolling over one wave and down into the next when I nail the gas to jump the wave and it loads the motor it misses on 1 cylinder really knocks as its on one but that's generally under load.
And a few times only more recently it just cuts out every now and again during the problem period.
Since my issues as I think it's more electrical I have replaced my complete electrical box to count out the cdi and coil, I chopped my old leads back to make sure it wasn't that still the same new boots still the Same new plugs still the same, so now do the whole box and still the same. So I thought I should try the coil tried another and still the same. The only electrical item not changed yet is the start stop switch, I no the wires in the box are good and I no the connectors are good as I have just changed them too, had the switch apart and its all clean in there all wires seem good in there too. Can this be a problem at the switch end?
Really want to get this sorted now
