Super Jet Shorten handpole??

I'm going to be shortening my handpole this week, will the stock steering cable still work? Are there any other parts that will need to be replaced or modified other than the handpole? THX!

no. just dont break the lower bracket when your cleaning out the old fiberglass, like i did. i used jb weld to glue it back in and overlaped the bracket with carbon and its the strongest lightest pole with out going a/m

How far does everyone shorten it?
I'm thinking of doing the same but don't want to go to short.

I was thinking about chopping out 2" and test fitting it to see how it feels

FWIW I would.ride that setup before you go to the effort - shortened setup caused me a lot of pain, went back to stock length.

That answered my question... I didn't want to start a project only to realize i didn't have all the parts to finish it. I want to get it done and get back on the water..
