I'm needing a brace. My doctor suggested a Bledsoe custom fitted ACL stabilizing brace. My insurance does'nt cover it and at 800.00 I want the best bang for the buck. Any opinions would help. :crutches:

I have a CTI and DonJoy. Both are very light and strong. I perfer the CTI, it fits better and stays in place. The donjoy does fit over a wet suit better though so that's the 1 I use with a suit. I got insurance to cover almost the whole cost. I think the donjoy was about $700 and I paid about $75 and the cti was about $900 and I paid about $160.
I had full ACL surgery & 30% of my minscus removed on my right knee back in 04.

Yeah like Alex said, check with EVS. Caker might beable to hook a discount up for you if you can't get insurance to foot the bill

I tore my ACL (luckly not all the way through) and had half of the minscus removed from my right knee. I have been using the EVS web and it feels really good. The kneep pad is only held on with some lycra so I wear it under mx pants so the water doesn't catch it and tear it off.

Many Thanks for all the input:Banane09: That EVS brace on that link looks like it will do me right:woot: Gonna have to hit caker up:hail:

Man it sux getting old:frown: Sun comming up, no wind & good surf this morning and I'm ridding my keyboard:banghead:

My CTI2 fits right, but when dragging a leg deep it pulls down on me eventually.

If you do get the CTI, get some extra 'calf-top' large pad pieces (most don't use them so dealer should have extras, and it stays on better in the water).

It depends on the knee problem. i major acl,mcl ,lcl issues i've had a lenox hill brace(joe namath)a cti a cti2 and know a towsend. the cti was good the cti2 was even better but the townsend seems to fit best and perform the best in all aspects whether its snowboarding ,playing ball or jetskiing .as for insurance paying for it all of mine were paid for by insurance as long as DR gives a perscription for it . my latest was $1900 and cost me $0 thanx to harvard pilgrim ins.
