Surfriding Installing Primer in Full Spectrums?

Just got a brand new set of 49 mm Full Spectrums. Looking for info on how to install primer? Do I drill into the carbs, one of both, and where?

Thanks

Where it says MADE IN JAPAN on the carb body, there should be a protruding portion right next to the word made. Drill right through that. Tap it, screw in a nipple. Epoxy in a nipple, whatever works for you.

Would you guys recommend running primers on my set up?

If you don't, the non-primed carb cylinder runs lean until enough fuel is pulled through the lines to feed both carbs.

Example, when I got my GP1200, they didn't install the primer right. They just put in one line. When you primed the ski and started it, it would run several hundred RPM above idle for 30-40 seconds because it was running lean on 2 cylinders. After that brief time, it would drop down to it's correct idle speed. Only started this way after it had sat and the lines were dryer. Once it got to idle, if you started it again, it would idle perfect. It didn't cause damage, but the potential was there.
