I picked up on a speashlized hardrock comp frame I ride bmx don't know much about mtbs and would like to start jumping them the fram has bars and forks and no rims also no cranks if this is a ok bike ill put stright gear on it but is this a good frame for jumping and tricks also I have a treck 7100 with nothing on it

I ride cross country, have no idea. I ride with some guys that are big into freeride here, they have some sweet bikes, one has a Scott Voltage that is awesome but heavy.
if u want to ride dirtjumps u wouldnt want to ride that..
specialized "p" series..or any dirtjump specific hardtail would be good...get a small (15in frame) if u are coming from bmx...

He didn't specify DJ or freeride. I have friends that freeride, so I posted what I know. Some guys try to ride their DJ bikes at Duff but it wears them out. I've done the jump line on my 4" xc bike and it does work on some jumps but if I did it much, it wouldn't survive.

unless u are riding real steep rough/rocky terrain a hardtail or short travel "freeride" bike is what you want..anything with a dual crown fork and 8in+ of travel is overkill...
i had a hard tail for strait dirtjumping and then i rode this for smoother trails/jumps..
unless u have a multithousand $ budget look for a hardtail..u can get one for around 500$
also u will learn to ride good on one instead of using all the suspension to make up for bad technique..

Pick up a frame specific. Whether it a Hardtail or FS is up to you and where you ride........ If you have "Ramp to Ramp" landing, HT would be really good and you can get more bike for your money. If Ramp to Flats then FS.
