im curious about your outcome. the one i just made is noticably lighter than an untouched stocker, but i didnt weigh them.

Looking great...

I would be concerned with the lack of air in the liner and a shortened pole/steering setup pounding the back of the hood.

the third pic is with it on, it doesnt hangover bad at all. no more than an aftermarket RN. definatly doesnt affect foot room in the tray

We did some measuring last week, and there is 1" difference when you measure a RN and a SN from the center of the stern eye to the bulkhead. Which helps to explain why it's easier to get your weight forward on a roundie.

Any part of the hood in the tray of a SN would move your weight back further.

Just a thought....

How does that work? The bulkhead should be the same distance from the rear on both styles, because they use the same pump and driveshaft. I'll measure mine next week and post what I find.

good call. i thought about the lack of air as well. it shouldnt be too bad b/c i shortned it on an angle basically to round the sides and with putting a new liner in it it will be a little lower in the back with the ginormous intakes right there along with a bunch of breather tubes :) as for the steering i cant shorten it too much but it def. has room to go :arms:
