yeah, sunday afternoon it really started building, Parr and Stoyer went for some backy's, but it was really shallow out there in places!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, for those of you who don't know----Harrison is rolling big, now. I was impressed enough at Nashville with his flatwater roll, but he stepped up his game on Saturday and Sunday with his rolls in the surf. He threw one during Sunday's comp that was HUGE. :cheer:

Harrison was the first person I ever saw doing nose stabs (in person and not in video). Orange Beach about 5 years ago maybe... That's pretty much when I decided that I needed to buy a superjet...

This means we had the shadow side of the riders on the side of the cameras. Its nice to have the sun behind the camera. :banghead:

I hear ya. However, I only shoot in RAW and allows post processing to bring some spice back to a flat or blown out picture.

If it was due to some blur (shutter speed under 1/125), then I usually bump the ISO to 400 minimum (ISO800 if needed).

If the riders have their backs to the sun, pull a spot meter on the face/body and shoot in "M" (manual). You risk blowing out the bright background but this can be very easily corrected if shooting in RAW.

The funny thing is how he did it. It wasn't a nose stab or anything like you'd expect. He was doing a power 360 and just drove it into the bottom. No air involved.
