It beats the hell out of having to watch the horrible shows that my wife likes to watch. I've got from now until May to finish it and it has no affect on my running skis or my riding time. If anything, it's worth it to not have to sit through the dancing with stars show and all of those copycat law/crime shows.

I for one think it's a great idea.
When and if I get a second hull the thing will get chopped up and modified.
I was thinking of changing the nose on my ski and making a hood to go with the nose. This would cut into my ride time so I will wait.
It doesn't have to look anything like a round nose to be cool and different.
I say go for it and have fun doing it.

Becuase having something one off is really cool especially if you did it yourself. Have you ever got the feeling form completing a project like this? Its great. Also i cant ride for till next spring so what else am i gonna do? Sit here on x-h20 and study.

There is some good reading on that website. I'm doing a little experimenting myself and I will not be using gelcoat like I should, but this is a one time deal for me so it only has to halfway work. I'm going to get the plug how I want it and then wax the crap out of it and lay some mat on top. The mat will make for a very rough mold, but I'll smooth it out with epoxy/q-cell before I make the actual piece.

well i think ive figured out how im going to make my mold. Im going to glue chunks of the foam that you put flowers in at walmart to the nose area and start carving. When i get the right shape ill just glass it in.
