I have never ridden one, but its a mod that eliminates your handlepole and basicly mounts the handlebars/steering system on top of the custom made hood, like a Kawasaki X2
I guess its a fun ride.

I started out owning a x2, after ridding both an x2 a blaster and a sj I found I loved the handling of the sj but i dis-liked the poles up and down moving. If you think about it dirt bikes 4 wheelers snowmobiles none of them have handle poles why would you put one on a jet ski? I know there are far more pole riders than fixed steer but for me it’s just personal preference.

Your also sitting down on a dirt bike, 4 wheeler, etc. to each there own, but i just dont get it.

Can you still do barrel rolls, back flips or subs with a fixed steering setup? Probably not...

Subs are easier for me on a fixed steer...the only thing that is harder on a FS are hood tricks other than that everything else can be done if you got the nuts to try.

Most people that ride mine think it is weird at first but quickly start to like it.

the best part about a standup is the fact that you can lower your center of gravity so drastically by moving the handlepole/your body up and down, thats why you can turn so hard that your shoulder is dragging..fixed steers look top heavy and awkward to me...but whatever floats your boat...

It def takes some getting used to but all the same stuff applies. You can still get low and it will turn as hard as any other ski.. i dont really prefer one over the other. i wouldnt sell my fixed steer or my fx-1. sometimes i wish i could ride them both at the same time though. lol

Fixedsteer is somthing you love or hate. For me I love it. and most people who ride a well built fixedsteer end up being shocked at how much fun they are. But some people dont like them. Ride what ever you like. But dont say you dont like somthing if you have never tried it.

I would like to ride one someday. I love my b1 but also like my stock sj. Best of both worlds??

I would think doin a sub on a fixed steer wouldn't be too hard, heck I can do them on a stock b1

he is so correct. i hated the "fixsteer" idea as a pure standup rider for many years. but then i rode one. i have ridden my pole ski 2 times this year.all i ride is my fs boat now. i can do anything you can do with a pole ski with my fixsteer. flips ,rolls ,subs , carve, (as long as your ski is a sdt bore 701 with just a pipe and a head on it) best ski i have ridden for fun factor.

they are definitely different than a pole ski but a ton of fun once you learn how to ride it.

You can't muscle it around like a pole ski. I have to be more loose and let the ski do the work in the surf on the fixed steer. On a pole ski I would be muscling it around more to get it where I want on the wave.

I like both and switch back and forth when I have a pole ski and a fixed steer that both run at the same time.
