Blaster Tips for riding?

Location

I went out on my blaster for the first time yesterday. I only had a short amount of time to try it out, I mainly wanted to make sure it was running ok. There were a few other guys riding blasters as well. I'm having a difficult time mounting and getting started in deep water. I realize weighing 250 probably isn't helping me. I suppose I could lose 20-30 lbs if I needed to. I do a fair amount of strength training at the gym and my normal weight outside the gym is 215-220. I'm sure there are some bigger riders on here, but maybe not.. The other guys at the lake were between 140-180 and those guys jumped right on the back to kneeling position and took off. Any tips, vids or advice would be great. I don't have any problem riding my RN but this thing seems different! ThX..

Ya i weigh 225 and its a pain sometimes. Have it idleing then jump up half way grab the bars and hit the gas then pull yourself up the rest of the way. Or sidemount but havent got that down i mainly ride my superjet anyways.

I've only rode my blaster once, and I'm 160 lbs and was able to just pull my self up the back and onto the seat before starting it. Then we went two up on it... that is a little more challenging deep water mounting with two people. We crashed 3 times and by the 3rd time were able to get back on and going first attempt.

Shortened seat helps alot too from what I've seen. I'm 205lbs, and my Blaster can pull me out during a side mount.

I love ridding my friends blaster but once im off....im off i have a hell of a time getting back on. I weigh around 230, I didnt used to have as hard of a time but i have also gained 30 pounds over the years lol.

i usually just leave it running and climb on the back as soon as my knees are up i hit the gas and come up to the sitting position. i'm 5-10 and 205. never had any problems. i would suggust a long kill laynard that way you can be behind the ski and still have it running. my 2 pennies.
