scupper feed back

What scupper are you running, and how bad does it leak? I have already been through all the scupper threads, it is time for a new one! No one seems to agree on one scupper in particular so post what you got, and wich one you would go with if you did it over.

I use a 2inch sump pump valve, and 2 electric bilges.
You can get all that for less than what a scupper costs.

I have a blowsion one way valve in my RN... works great.

However, I have two Lowe's one way sump valves in my SN... and they also work great... for a fraction of the cost...

If you must spend the money on it. Dont F-around call Pat and get an X-Metal one. Works great and it looks pimped.

Listen to the one who knows.
The only reason I have a scupper is because it was already ordered when Slutty enlightened me.

Here's what I put in

Not a drop of water after the ski was docked for 2 hours.
Nuff said.

what is that there with the arrows? looks like it doesn't take too big of a hole to fit. i need something like that! where did you get it, or what did you make?

Just a word of caution for you guys that ride in the surf with just a one-way valve. Myself and two other guys I ride with have blown them out.

I think they are probably the best option for flat water casue they don't leak, but if you blow it out, it is much easier to replace a scupper...

I use the 24-7 and this may sound strange but I like it to leak a little. When we go on trips and let the ski sit overnight at the waters edge the ski filles with water and doesn't float off it sits there like a rock. I have also installed the lowes valve in a friends ski and left enough room on the back of the hull for a future 24-7 incase the oneway ever goes out.

The thing with the arrows is the Lowes sump dump one way valve.
Actually, it's the Lowes valve with a 2" coupling on either side instead of the rubber couplers it comes with.
The front has a 2" clean out that I ground down a bit to make it the same diameter as the couplings.
I have a 2" plug that screws in from the engine side of the bulk head that is hanging in the hull on a piece of rope.
If the Lowes valve fails (Slutty claims that he never lost one) and the 24/7 scupper takes a shait I have the plug as back up.

That might be overkill.

I tied my ski off to my dock for 2 hours. Went inside to have something to eat, destroyed a few empty soda cans with my neighbours BB gun, hung around waiting for 5pm (I have a huge no wake zone back to the ramp that ends at 5pm).
Jumped into the water, popped off the hood and found no water in the bilge.

A few of the Surf sluts have preformed an extensive Surf evaluation of just the Lowes valve (without the additional scupper) with no problems reported.

I'm sold.
